Colors that you pick on a daily basis can translate information to the world. For example, if you like to wear red clothing, you can be associated with being a dominant person. But there are more colors and they can affect your behavior and mood, and have an impression on others in different ways.


We at TRIG also noticed that the colors we pick have an influence on our personalities and we would like to share what researchers have to say about this.

1. Red



Yes, the color red can bring associations with aggression and dominance. Researchers have found that athletes who wear this color are 5% more likely to win. It triggers a heart rate and testosterone boost and, as a result, it can improve performance.

One interesting finding is that waitresses in a red uniform get more tips from men. Studies confirmed that this color attracts men. It has an association with love and passion. So, if you would like to be noticed, try red.



2. Purple



Purple is associated with royalty and royal ceremonies. Besides, it leaves the impression of magic and fantasy. Purple stimulates creativity and brings peace but at the same time, it’s related to being sensitive and emotional.


3. Orange



If you like the color orange and use it a lot, you could be very energetic. This color is even used for pills because it’s a good stimulant.

It’s very powerful and can be associated with a vibrant social environment. Also orange brings excitement and energy. That’s probably why many sports teams use it for their uniforms.


4. White



A person who likes white wants a sense of satisfaction. They tend to be organized, logical, and detail-oriented at work. The color can be associated with independence in creating things.

Also, it can evoke a feeling of purity and simplicity. Maybe it’s because of these qualities that some companies like to use it. For example, Apple has a simple white background.



5. Black



It’s the color of borders, and of authority. It’s strong and can evoke a feeling of elegance, formality, and mystery. Black reflects a certain practicality and realism into the world, that’s why it’s used so much by people who need to follow a dress code at their workplace.

A person who likes black can be associated with someone who craves control and independence.



6. Blue



The type of person who likes blue can be idealistic, reliable, autonomous, and thoughtful at creative work. They tend to pay attention to details, become perfectionists, and have impeccable manners.

Recruiters may seek candidates who pick blue clothes for high-stress positions, experts say.



7. Yellow



Someone who loves yellow has a craving for adventure. If white is about independence, then yellow is about freedom. The color can be associated with humor, spontaneity, optimism, and passion. These people tend to be creative but impulsive.



8. Green



We associate green with money and vegetables, but researchers say that green personalities are outdoorsy types who have a desire for security. Green may be associated with success. As a physical effect, it evokes relaxation and calmness.

It’s also a refreshing color. It can be linked to growth, learning, and health.


9. Pink



Pink has been linked to toning down aggression, so you probably wouldn’t see a criminal in a pink suit. This color is also known to be a good mood regulator and it makes someone appear more soothing while wearing it.

The main associations that pink creates are love, sensitivity, generosity, and kindness. Also, this color can awaken a desire to protect a person who likes it.

Bullion Van Robbed In Tarkwa

In the midst of sporadic firing, two armed robbers robbed a bullion truck worth more over GH107,000 in front of a supermarket in Tarkwa, Western Region, yesterday morning. The burglars were alleged to have followed the bullion van, which arrived at the Ransbet Super Shopping Market about 9 a.m. to collect the weekend sales and deliver them to the bank.
